CUSTER - Getting ready to golf is a whole lot tougher than it was when the boys played in the fall.
"It's really weird ," says Mason County Eastern coach Ted Howell. "It's been a year-and-a-half since we had competitive golf in the state of Michigan. We're starting all over again."
Eastern's roster:
SENIORS: Jordan Ely, Sean McMann and Brad Rybicki.
JUNIORS: Tommy Grimm.
SOPHOMORES: Eric Purple, Chance Christmas, Brad Dodson, and K.J. Livengood.
FRESHMEN: Chance Anderson.
"We have a healthy number but I'm not sure who's going to play at any given time," says Howell. Rybicki, McMann, Christmas and Purple are veterans as is Grimm, who played for at now defunct Free Soil High.
