Reed City- Mason County Central ran away with Friday's Reed City Invitational track and field meet, piling up 172 points to easily outdistance runnerup Mason County Eastern in hte eight-team meet.
Eastern was second with 78 points followed by Hart with 59, Farwell 57, Baldwin 50, Reed City 43, Marion 41 and CCA High School 22.
"We had a good meet, allaround," said Central coach Scott Briggs. "We scored in every field event which hasn't happened yet this season so that was good to see. We swept the mile and two mile and that was big for us."
Central's individual firsts were by Aaron Dudonis in the 110-meter high hurdles (16.4 seconds), Weston Squires in the 1,600 (4 minutes, 41.75 seconds) and 800 (2:06.62), Rob Locke in the 400 (52.43) and Jared Lauber in the 3,200 (10:32.3).
Central also won the 3,200 and 1,600 relays. In the 3,200, Locke, Chris Conrad, Lauber and Squires won in 8:35.78 and in the 1,600, Squires, Kevin Stiver, Conrad and Locke won in 3:38.46.
Eastern won the 400 and 800 relays. In the 400, Ryan Rybicki, Cory Jolly, Justin Gwilliams and Rellis Cormany won in 48.23 and in the 800, Gwilliams, Segelstrom, Jolly and Rybicki won in 1:40.76.
Hart's lone victory was by Ben Moul in the 300 intermediate hurdles (44.31).
