Depth key for MCE trackstars

CUSTER - Ben Knizacky replaces Paul Shoup as coach of Mason County Eastern's boys track and field team.
"Those are big shoes to fill," says Knizacky. "Paul has done a great job for many years."
Shoup has moved into administration and out of coaching.
Eastern's roster:

SENIORS: Jannes Riffert, Scott Sawdy, Mark Martin, Cory Jolly, Eric Rockwell, Justin Gwilliams, Cory Clark, Jordan Ely, Relis Cormany.

JUNIORS: Chris Segelstrom, Tim Heyse, Nate Martin, Jeff Martinchek, Bryan Jolly, Kelly Lemire, Stephen Knizacky, Travis Haner, Matt Cripe, Bryan Fenner

SOPHOMORES: Bryan Norman, Will Oskaboose, Roby Koviak, John Mulligan, Joe Nielsen, Darin Anthony, Ryan Rybicki

FRESHMEN: Mike Stickney, Darrell Troy, Pat Mulligan, Tyler Haner.

"We have great numbers and the kids are working hard," says Knizacky, who hopes depth will carry the Cardinals to success during the season. "I'm not sure how many firsts and seconds we will get but I feel there are many thirds, fourths and fifths in our future.
"We will take them with a smile and hope the points will add up."
