EASTERN GIRLS FINISH SEVENTH
ONEKAMA - Mason County Eastern's girls track and field team finished seventh in the 10 team Onekama Invitational on Friday. The Cardinals had 30.5 points and won one event. In her first competition of the season, Michelle O' Neal threw the shot put 33 feet, 11 1/2 inches for the victory. She was also second in the discus at 91-8 3/4.
"We did not run much today," said Eastern coach Matt Millspaugh. He was being literal since his team competed in an invitational meet on Thursday also. The Cardinals only placed in two running events.
